Samantha's Plaid Cape  and hat set were part of Samantha's Winter Collection during her first release and are associated with the book Changes for Samantha.

This is the very early and rare to find version cape with a embroidered  band around the top of the collar. It was only available for a few years and was then changed to the same plaid material as the rest of the cape.

Cape: Black Watch tartan blue and green cape. Navy braid trim. Two slits for dolls' hands in the front sides. Navy bow at collar. 1989 Pleasant Company Tag.
